CASE District VIII’s Annual Conference begins with pre-conference sessions on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 29 and concludes with a brunch keynote speaker on Friday, Jan. 31. Our conference program will feature a roster of dynamic and engaging speakers. Breakout sessions will span fundraising and philanthropy, alumni and engagement, and marketing and communications, along with our inaugural PechaKucha — a fast-paced showcase of transformational work across District VIII!. Enjoy time with your fellow CASE Campers:

Take in the freshness of a PNW bounty and s’more at the Taste of Seattle Happy Hour and join your fellow campers for CASE by the Campfire. Tasty treats and beverages await you as you enjoy time with colleagues from around the district. Scary ghost stories optional.

Naming spaces and programs to recognize donors and alumni is a common and contemporary fundraising practice but many institutions do not have modern policies. Donor recognition is complex. Philanthropic naming and sponsorship rights are crucial to philanthropy and having the right policies in place can bring new life into your fundraising program. Vincent and Janice will share what’s disrupting philanthropic naming for Post-Secondary Institutions and how your organization can prepare policies that will protect it. What are the issues (and opportunities) with accepting a bequest as a naming gift? How can you protect your institution from a naming scandal?
