Larissa Groch

Larissa has successfully delivered campaign counsel, feasibility studies, fundraising program assessments, mentorship, and interim management to post-secondary, social services, arts and other clients since becoming a consultant in 2012. She specializes in implementing sustainable fund development programs, building philanthropic culture and team development. Currently Campaign Director for Lakeland College, Larissa is leading its $10 million community fundraising campaign.

Before consulting, Larissa was the first Development Manager for Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (2003-2011). Her efforts resulted in new and deepened partnerships, significantly increased revenues and helped paved the way for a new building.

Larissa attained her Certified Fund Raising Executive accreditation in 2013. She completed the Business Essentials Program (“mini MBA”) at the University of Calgary and National Program for Fundraising Education from Mount Royal University and has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours English) from the University of Alberta.

Larissa's passion for the non-profit sector was sparked during her 11 years as a dancer and arts administrator with Canada's Ukrainian Shumka Dancers. An AFP Calgary and Area Chapter member, Larissa co-chaired the chapter’s Every Member Campaign (2007 and 2008) and National Philanthropy Day (2006) and served on the chapter Board (2005-2008). Larissa is an enthusiastic volunteer with various community groups in Calgary and Edmonton.
