Beth Ann Locke
Beth Ann Locke feels honoured to be a fundraiser. For more than 25 years she has been connecting donors with their dreams of a better world through philanthropy. Her career has taken her to nonprofits in the US and Canada, creating change for education, healthcare, social services and the arts. She is Director of Advancement in the Faculty of Arts and Social Services at Simon Fraser University.
Beth Ann understands the power of authentic relationships and gratitude to deepen connections with supporters. Beth Ann lives in Vancouver, is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and serves on the board of the AFP Canada Foundation for Philanthropy and is serves on the AFP Vancovuer Board as VP for Professional Development. She co-hosts Ms.Rupt, where women fundraisers gather to discuss pressing issues in the non-profit sector, and enjoys speaking at conferences, and mentoring fundraisers.
Beth Ann believes there is much to celebrate and improve in the sector and invites conversations that challenge the status quo. A native of Seattle, Washington, she received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington. She enjoys travel, hosting dinner parties, and connecting with fundraising peers around the world.
