Vincent E. Duckworth, CFRE
Vincent has been a fundraising professional for over 20 years. He has been a fundraising consultant since 2007. Prior to becoming a consultant, he worked as a Director of Development with the University of Alberta, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and the University of Calgary. Vincent has his professional fundraising designation, CFRE, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Vincent is also a certified AFP Master Trainer.
Vincent is internationally recognized as a leading expert on campaign design, strategy and major gift performance. He is also Canada’s leading authority on philanthropic naming. Vincent’s chapter on philanthropic naming can be found in the definitive Canadian fundraising reference: Excellence in Fundraising in Canada: Volume Two.
A sought after speaker, Vincent speaks regularly at international, national and regional conferences.
Vincent is committed to his profession and his community. He currently serves as a board member with one Calgary-based organization and one national foundation: La Caravan Dance Company in Calgary, and the AFP Canada Foundation nationally. He also serves as an advisor to numerous national and international boards and councils.
Vincent served as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chapter in Edmonton and served as board member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VIII for eight years.
Vincent and his wife, Christine Fraser, have three children: Jack, Ethan, and Allison. Vincent is an avid runner who also enjoys cycling and backcountry hiking.
